Shower didn’t work right (too high, leaked on the floor, etc.) and there was a wet spot/stain on the room’s floor as we got there (like something had been spilt or leaked from the ceiling but neither hadn’t).

I stayed an extra night bc I loved it so much!

EARLY CHECK-IN A HUGE BONUS We arrived early around midday and expected to leave our case until 6pm when we could get back after a concert. However, our room was ready and they let us check in very early. This made our day much more relaxing. We stayed here many years ago and it has been nicely refurbished. The room was spacious as was the shower room and the fridge of bottled water in the corridor with an ice machine was very welcome. Outstanding breakfast quality at a fair price. Staff superb.

Very impressive hotel but adversely affected by first impression. The instant we walked into the hotel we were hit by a sewage like smell. This persisted here (and on first floor landing at lifts) for the duration of our stay. Unfortunately the entrance, lobby, bar and restaurant are in the same zone so we immediately decided against or drinking there. The room was excellent. No smell here. Compact but the design layout was fantastic. Our small studio included a kitchen but the area is so rich with eateries that I would probably never use it. Sleep quality was very good although the odd noisy motorbike was audible through the night. The area suffers a large homeless problem. Be vigilant when outside.

Pleasantly surprised about the hotel. Modern and minimalist furnishings, great customer service (from doorman, front desk, housekeeping and room service)—everyone was very friendly! Hotel is in a prime spot—close to many attractions by foot with easy access to bus and tube. Only disappointment was not being able to try the restaurant and bar. Would definitely stay here again!
